27-year peritoneal mesothelioma survivor, Paul Kraus, breaks down the best treatments in plain language — in a free book we'll mail you.

Peritoneal mesothelioma is rare — most people have never heard of it, and trustworthy information is hard to find.
It's described in language most people were never taught — "cytoreductive surgery," "HIPEC," "peritoneum."
The treatment paths are unclear, and it's hard to know which questions even matter.
After every appointment, many patients are left wondering: am I doing everything I can?
You shouldn't have to face that alone — and you shouldn't have to start from zero.

What peritoneal mesothelioma actually is, in plain language — and why it tends to stay in the abdomen instead of spreading, in a way that can work in your favor.
The treatment behind the most encouraging survival figures — who it helps most, and the study where nearly half of patients were still alive five years later.
Your options if surgery isn't a good fit — the drugs now used for peritoneal patients, including a two-drug combination where more than 8 out of 10 were alive a year later, plus a gentler, repeatable treatment for people who can't have surgery.
How your cell type decides which treatments are used — and why a specialist's second look at your pathology can change your whole plan.
Which treatments are standard, accepted care, and which mean joining a clinical trial — so you're never left guessing about what's available.
What the research shows about survival by subtype and how far the cancer has spread — the difference that can more than double how long patients live — and why the number you were given is the middle of a range, not your fate.
How to treat the symptoms, not just the disease — getting ahead of the fluid build-up (ascites) instead of chasing it, and why raising pain early matters more than you'd expect.
The terms your treatment team uses — "HIPEC," "cytoreductive surgery," "PCI score" — explained in plain English, so nothing slips past you.
The questions worth asking your oncologist about each of your treatment options.
What to look for when weighing one treatment against another — and how to tell realistic hope from an overblown promise.
The confidence of knowing you're not facing peritoneal mesothelioma — or its treatment decisions — blind.
Paul was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure decades earlier. By the time it was found, doctors believed it was terminal and gave him only months — perhaps weeks.

Paul read everything he could find, sought second opinions, and walked into appointments with lists of questions. That habit — researching carefully and asking the hard questions — became the foundation of the guide that now carries his name.

Five years after he was told he had weeks, Paul was still here — featured on the cover of the Newcastle Herald's Weekender as a man who had outlived every expectation, supported throughout by his wife Sue.

Paul passed away in July 2024 at 79 — twenty-seven years after he was given only months. He spent those years learning everything he could about facing cancer wisely, and writing it down for others.

"Paul and his book have given me hope that the disease will not defeat me — and he has provided the tools to help me heal."
"This is the book that saved my life. Believe in it."
"They told me less than a year. Reading the book showed me there was a chance… it's now been five years."
"Great read for those suffering from this hideous disease. Read it if you can — it gives hope & inspiration."
"[The book] gave me resources to find new ways to live… my quality of life has been greatly improved since that diagnosis back in 2003."
"I think this book should be given to each patient diagnosed with mesothelioma. It's clear, concise — patients shouldn't have to order it."
"This book has given me such hope. It was like reading my own life story. Thank you so much, Paul Kraus."
"Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with the world. We need more people like you who are interested in saving lives instead of making dollars."
"I have a copy of this book. I am now 6 years since diagnosis of malignant pleural mesothelioma and feel perfectly normal."
"Make the best of every day, have a positive attitude, and never look back. You can't change what's happened, but you can sure change what happens in the future."
"So far, I've been three years now after my diagnosis… I'm doing well, and I thank God every single day. Please read the book."
"I gave it to my dad who has mesothelioma. He really liked it — especially how a positive attitude can make all the difference to quality of life, and even to prognosis."
"I have your book… dealing with it in my lung. Thank you for all the work and research that went into that book — it really helped me. God Bless ☺✌❤"
